Same as dweller - have lived abroad without the net loads of times and I read much more and write 'proper' letters and diaries when I don't have the temptation to waste time on line ;o)

One also tends to make ones own entertainment more - e.g. gatherings where people bring their musical instruments along,  and just generally become far more creative!

I love having internet access, don't get me wrong, but it certainly tends to make some people less sociable!
