Yes. sometimes it becomes a matter of profession. One of my friend is an accountant but was given a technician visa as that was the only one available with this company. it took him about 6 months to get an RP for his wife.

the general feeling here is that the higher the profession, the more the salary you will get.

even if you are an engineer but with a technician visa, you will be considered a technician when you apply for your family visa.

try to get ur profession on your visa changed and secondly, try to go and submit your labour contract to the labour department asap.
