I would think that you would need to prove to them that you have enough funds to cover your trip ... they usually ask for 6 months bank statement to get an idea of how your balances are.

Also for Europe you would need to apply for a Schengen visa and if you are planning to go in September I would get a start on it cause there are quite a lot of requirments for both.
