And that would make the overall price of the car $2500, 2 cents!
Mr Paul, like some of the people in here already said, not everyone in my country can dream of buying a car. Before coming here, i couldn't dream about it too. I just dont understand how you can criticise the safety of the car when you DONT have any first hand experience with it. It hasnt been produced commercially and there is NOTHING which shows that it will not be safe on roads.
There are such agencies that test everything about the safety of a car before they are released on the market. They cannot be bought off and they would have to be VERY convinced before they would have given permission for them to go ahead. The Tata car has Euro IV certificate. I am sure that they wouldnt have got it if they thought the car was bad as you said it would be.
About your accusations that TATA trucks and other vechicles are bad, with deep sorry feelings, i would say that you have not spoken the truth. Tata trucks are renowned for their sturdiness and quality. If the buses you saw in Qatar were TATA made, then it has survived at least 25 years in this heat and humidity. Which other company could boast of similar sturdiness? Mercedes Benz? MAN? I would ask them to wake up from their dreams.
What they did with the car was the realisation of a dream. They dared to dream and got through in spite of negative criticisms like the ones in this forum today.
Just one word to Knoxcollege and Mr Paul, kindly do not disregard and dismiss the fulfilment of four years of dream and patient work with the casual flick of your wrist. read a little about the car instead of making such blind judgements. Buggy, Knoxcollege? I would like to see that run for a day.
I have had my say. Sorry if it grated a bit, but i am sick and tired of the oodles of negativity going around in this world...
