My two favourite stories, one happened to me one was told to me.
I got off a bus in Jordan for a pit stop, and there was a young camel (about 4 yrs) with some Beduoin teenagers just sitting around. Of course i went straight to the camel for a pat, and it started sniffing around my backpack and gave me an imporing look. The kids said "he can smell water in your backpack, he's a bit thirsty". So i took out a big bottle of water, took off the lid and the camel looked right in my eye, as if for permission then put his lips over the bottle. I lifted it up while he started drinking the water, sucking on the bottle like a baby it was the cutest thing!! The kids had also taught it to "kiss" someone's cheek when they say "kiss". very ticklish!!
Someone told me he was riding a camel alongside another one, and the camels saw something scary (I can't remember exactly what it was, maybe a dog), they started walking closer to each other and then as they were walking intertwined their necks around each other as if for comfort.
Such beautiful creatures when they are raised by genuine people. I have hundreds of photos of them.
