yes jauntie that'll do the trick to tenderize the meat too, i normally get my meat fr shoprite , carrefour sometimes (these are for steaks) now for normal cooking i normally get the brazillian (when i can find them)else it'll be either NZ or aussie meats and also i do cut the meats following the grains and not the other way around(my momma's tip)>winks
