Most people would read the part immediately before the section you cite and see it was a rich master speaking to his servants in the story, and not Jesus. Those servants who work hard are rewarded, the other is punished.

If you're going to quote nasty passages from the Bible, you should look in the Old Testament, it's got a lot more bloodshed.
