The difference is, when I read a fellow countrywoman taking the mickey out of Holy Communion and being quite amusing about it too both myself, and another lady from the UK, acknowledged it was 'shamefully disrespectful' but at the same time really something to grin at. No offense taken at ALL.
I think it's a case of 'you can laugh at my belief if it's yours also' because I know it's just a joke and a bit of a lark BUT don't take the mickey out of it if you have a different belief'.
Something like that, anyway :D
