Based on what you said your PC already has an HDMI port that you wish to connect to an HDMI port on the TV. If that's the case then there's not much you would need to do after connecting the cable to the two ends beside changing the source on your TV to accept PC input. Different devices do this differently however it should be a simple press on the button on your TV remote control, I have a Samsung LCD and the button is labelled "Source" on my remote control.
