No doubt Dell is better. Even though processor speed matters but with 1.8 GHZ, that should run smooth if you can maintain it properly. I saw computer with two processors with Terabyte of hard disk and still runs slow. One advice for sure, buy laptop with Warranty. Parts and labor is expensive for laptop. Check other features like wifi or infrared, SD slot, DVD burner and so on....
