Hi there, my son has a speech problems and we were quite worried when we came about what school's would be able to cater for him.

We had heard some stories about schools not accepting children if they could not put a small sentance together in good english, which I was quite worried about as my son struggles and takes time somitimes but does get there in the end.

My son goes to DESS which has been a great school so far. They have not once said "sorry we can't understand him, he has to go". Because of his speech difficulty he struggles in some things like reading and having the confidence to approach other children to play but the school have been great.

I think you can only start in reception so it might be worth you getting your daughter's name down asap as the list is very very long. They only had a place for my son and not my daughter so she is still home with me.

Sorry to rant on a bit but I know how you are feeling regarding the speech. Good luck in finding the right school for your daughter :-)
