I got the shock of my life when i saw a cheetah sitting on a garden wall in Gharafa about six years ago! True there was a six foot wire fence between him and me erected on top of the normal block wall but it didn't seem totally secure. I passed this house (was featured in local paper on more than one occasion) frequently and was amazed to find dogs sitting near him on the wall (one was a giant poodle!) Seemed perfectly happy.
I heard a story of a Qatari family bringing a tiger cub to the Vet, on being informed that this was an extremely dangerous animal to have as a pet they said it was alright, they only fed it on vegetarian food so there was no problem!
God protects the righteous!
