Provat, You will have the medical here (blood tests for HIV etc and chest Xray for TB). There is no issue with your Diabetes, infact it is very prevalent amongst the Arab population, just be sure to bring your Medical records here with you. It would be worth asking if the Medical cover will be private or just the public system, as with your Diabetes it may be worth your while getting a private Endocrinologist whilst you are here. As for your Asthma, I am also from Brisbane and there are days when dust does fill the air and when you would be best staying indoors. If you have an office job you will be OK. I guess it depends on how severe your Asthma is. If your triggers are pollens then you will be OK, but if you have problems with dust and sand then you will find yourself indoors alot.
