I checked some of the screenshots from Gamespot for some of the lastest games and found out that the PC versions always have the best graphics. This is due to the fact that the new video cards and processors exceed the performance capabilites of any gaming console. If you got the money, I suggest to buy the best hardware you can get in Qatar. Another thing that gaming consoles DON'T have at the moment is, anti-aliasing. Anti-aliasing smoothes out the edges and greatly improves the graphics. By getting together a good SLI combo of GeForce 8s, you can easily put your anti-aliasing setting up to x16. However, having the best of the best can be quite costly, especially here in Qatar.
As we all know, the shops selling games here are pretty big rip offs, selling games from 200 - 320 QR. The cheapest games however are sold for the PC at the moment. I found that most of the games in Virgin cost around 169-200 QR MAX. The newer BluRay games all cost around 280-300 QR which prevents us from buying them one after the other.
Controls is a personal thing, some people play better with a gamepad, others with a mouse. I think playing with the mouse is easier and obviously faster. I heard that you can get a keyboard and mouse for the XBOX, which means we might be seing some strategy games on it...
Anyways, in the end, it depends on how much money you have to burn. If you got it, go for the PC and get the best of the best, but if you don't want to spend up to 10000 QR just for gaming, buy a console...
