TO answer your question: You get 1 point for every post/comment that you make. 1 point for making/starting a topic and 3 points if you answer any questions here in the question forum.
Benefits? NONE. It's just points...but QLer would know how active you are by the points you earn. Plus, you could join some groups (if you like/want)...that's it.
