the Catholic Church here wouldn't perform the marriage ceremony because perhaps you aren't Catholics. Can't see any other reason why they would refuse apart from, as mentioned, one or both of the parties is a divorcee. And even then I think special dispensation can be made but that all takes time and effort and may be ultimately refused anyway lol

I thought there was some land allotted to Churches (general denominations) here in Doha and that building was started during 2006.

Somewhere there is a thread in QL which mentions where the churches (or accommodation for services) are. Maybe google it.
