What car is it(make/model)? Auto trans or manual? Go to a garage that you know and ask them to do a general check. Check/change oil+filter, air filter, spark plugs, brake pads, radiator coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, all belts/tensioners, bushes, mountings. Change tyres if necessary or rotate them and do alignment/wheel blancing if necessary.
