nah, there arent really problems with visas, and cross boarders! you'd need a visa for Soudia Arabia, they will gave you a 3 days visa in K.S.A which is more than enough to cross the country!! :P

the all the high ways in Soudia arabia are pretty nice! they did renew it 3 years ago, it amazing, such a long journey! :)
