...but i expect that has more to do with his nationality as i earn more than the amount stipulated. i think it's worth phoning up and asking the immigration department first. in the end, we brought my husband here on a visit visa and then tried to find a job for him so that he could be sponsored by them instead. otherwise, it might not make sense to go through all the bureaucracy of transferring your sponsorship.

be prepared for the immigration dept though...i was put through to all the various deptartments and then had one of their officials laughing at me as he 'couldn't understand why a British woman would be married to a Nepali'.
