This is really a great question. I have noticed here in Gulf region that people are really misussing the stationery items. We can start saving environment on personal level. Like what i did is. I have minimize the use of plastic bags when i go for shopping. Avoid taking the bags as much as possible. Started using the back side of paper for printing the draft reports. At the end of the day Almighty will also ask about this misuse. Another thing people need to be much consious about the water.
