the above is why I haven't made a big deal about the UK - I guess we are lucky by comparison.

Although I DO feel sorry for those in England who are still 10 foot under water and without any fresh water.

I saw crates of bottled water being handed out on the news, 2 crates per family. Some of our newer guests in England were loading up their vans, pushing away a news correspondent saying 'ASDA said 2 crates per person'.
