Does it really matter what westeners mean????? this is an open ended conversation & everyone will have their own opinion that others won't agree to.
The west is always looked at as the free spirited people ones that have freedom beyond compare while the rest are looked at as the traditional people who go by cultures, traditions & certain beliefs. however in this day & age people have moved around in the world, there's a different race in a different place. Westerners, Asian, Indians, MiddleEasterns etc are all people at the end of the day no one should be judged by where they come from. I am born & raised in Australia (a very multicultural country) where there's people from all walks of life. AS a child my parents have always taught me to respect others no matter where they're from as god has created them all. I have taught my kids the same thing.
At the end of the day if you respect others you they will also respect you.
