if u have a valid british (for example) licence, u don't
need to take a test, just the eye test. If you come from the sub-continent u definitely have to take a test and to do that, u have to take a course of lessons, when my son did it it was a minimum of 1500QR but that was a long time ago. Try your luck with the authorities if you have a licence.
