on teacher's salaries, so my sister and I knew how to do all the household chores from the time we were old enough to grab a towel out of the dryer. I raised both my boys to do laundry by the time they were each 5 years old. (yes, I COULD afford household maids by then, but chose not to because I ended up cleaning before and after they came!) Now, bear in mind that I never bought anything red, cause then they would end up wearing pink underwear..at that point, guess they weren't tighty whiteys any more! Anyway...they both learned how to cook, clean and iron. Their girlfriends always made the comment that they want to raise their kids the same way.
Teaboys, maids, servants, whatever called, still deserve to be treated with respect as they do a job and usually do it with more determination and pride in what they do than I've seen in some corporate offices from CEOs. Everyone has a starting point in their lives and for some it may be teaboy...or that may be what they choose to remain, but it should be their choice, not by someone who is determined to keep them in their place.
