Certain people see a cute puppy, buy it and a few months later decide that they are no longer prepared for the effort of owning a pet and literally dump them. It's very sad...
I made a difficult decision to rehome my GSD in SA after I got here. I was preparing to bring him out when a friend asked if they could take him as they wanted a trained adult and not a puppy... Best move I could have made for him, he is in a brilliant home.
Lucky for the puppy I have since acquired. Korin, his 8 brothers and sisters and mom were dumped in the desert a few days before they were born...
