If you tune your car you are voiding the warranty. That's something you must take into consideration.
The dealer for my car will let me get a tuning kit and they'll fit it on my car (it's out of warranty). I don't think you have a problem getting the job done but make sure you're scientific and not just enthusiastic about it.
And no flame-emitting tailpipes!
