I don't wish to sound rude but this is utter nonsense, a bit like the advice about eating certain foods at different times of day.
I, like many people have spent years dieting until last year when a friend of mine persuaded me to try the gym. Since this time last year I am 2 stone lighter and have twice the energy I had. because i feel healthier I am more inclined to eat healthy foods and so am more healthy.
It's not rocket science, increased output plus decreased input equals weight loss. Spend the moeny on a gym membership instead.
