First of all there's the difference in voltage, 2nd if the thing doesn't work and you've spent a lot of money then seller can claim it was damaged during shipping. Aramex will only reimburse you up to $100 if you can prove the packing was good and item was damaged during trans-shipment.
The most I've spent is $1000 and the stuff got here no problem. Only 1 incident right at the beginning where the seller disappeared. Now that we have Paypal we are protected. I've made 384 purchases from eBay.
