===========================================
My daughter is referred to an Eye Specialist at Hamad Medical Corporation.
11:00am-11:01am: Called today Operator Women Hospital to reach Eye Clinic. Was asked to call 439-1195
11:15am-12:45pm: Kept on calling and finally reached the operator at 12:45pm
12:45pm-12:47pm: Was informed that I have called the wrong floor. Was asked to called the fourth floor on 439-1264 for appointment
12: 50pm – 12:57pm: Reached the operator on 439-1264 after two long attempts. It was not busy but the operator took a long time before I was answered.
12:57pm - 12:57pm: Asked the operator that I need an appointment …. I was interrupted and was transferred to some unknown extension.
12:57pm - 01:00pm: No answer. I hung-up
01:05pm – Got hold of the operator on 439-1264 again and started “I need an appointment … Reply yes, yes, Male section and was transferred to some unknown extension once again without listening to a simple 7 word sentence.
01:02pm: No answer – Had to hang up once again.
01:10pm: Got hold of the operator again on 439-1264. This time I started “Listen to me – My daughter needs an appointment with a specialist at the eye clinic” She says “Yes – yes – daughter no problem” and she hung-up !!! No transfer this time!
Its 01:32 and I have been calling since then, but now 439-1264 is (intentionally kept) engaged. I believe the operator did not like my opening “Listen to me…”
Is this the service and customer care you expect to receive at the country’s only General Hospital?
How would it reflect on other private clinics?
Hospitals are the most critical places in a person’s life. Why we have male/ female sections and segregation in such place. We do not see such segregation elsewhere anymore, then why in emergencies and rehabilitation places?
How am I going to get an appoint at HMC Eye Clinic?
What other options for surgery I can have other than HMC?
Only Love & Respect of Others Make us Human.
