To me the kind of salary you are mentioning is appalling for your experience. That said, you need to be aware that this country is far more concerned with where you come from than with your experience/qualifications. I appreciate that you may be prepared to put up with that if it offers you a better standard of living when you do go home, but it's just something to know.

I feel sad for your husband. It sounds to me like he has a very bad deal. I think the advice about being in your own country to get more money may be more pertinent to Westerners. Perhaps other people from the Philippines can give you better advice about this than me.
