Most of the Gulf Oil Companies (GOC's) have similar terms and conditions Kiarajane.
They (HR managers and those involved in policy & conditions)meet twice a year to exchange views and discuss policy in general, taking it in turns to host the event. They undertake preparation and publication (I think it is now prepared by ARAMCO) of an annual C&B survey which compares all terms and conditions (by geographical group and level) and I mean ALL conditions.
There was also an unwritten law that one company wouldn't poach staff from one of the other GOC's although that may be a thing of the past
