That depends where you have recently arrived from, I came from 3 years in Nigeria so my first month here has been looking at the amazing malls, driving along the Corniche and admiring the view, learning my way around., I LOVE IT. Also there are different groups, American, British, Latino....etc you can join them or go to monthly coffees, lots advertised on this site.
