The approval takes 1 to 3 working days. If it takes more than 3 days, follow up your application by approaching MLSA personally.
After the approval from them, you will get a visa number (informally called blue visa as they stamp the visa with a blue ink). You can then transfer this blue visa to your spouse's passport for a nominal fee of 5 riyals. The blue visa entitles your spouse to stay in qatar for 3 months.
You have to enter the blue visa number and your ID number & you will be presented to fill the online form & submit it and print it. It must be filled in arabic.
You will need to attach a photo on the application form & your spouse needs to sign the form in black ink.
You will then need to take your spouse with the printed form to Medical Commission (near MES Indian School, Beside the Woqod Petrol Station on Industrial Area Road towards Muntaza) for the Medical Test. (please be aware that you need to exclusively mention to them if your spouse is pregnant to avoid the X-Ray exposure). You can follow the result of the medical commission on the same MOI website http://www.moi.gov.qa/ResPrint/Actions?action=getResVisaInput . It may take upto 3 working days, if it takes later than that please approach and enquire medical commission personally.
After your clearance from Medical Commission, the website will inform you to approach CID.
CID ( on salwa road if you going towards the former palace round about, you have to take right from the TATA showroom round about and then take the second service road.) You would have to go there with the printed form & they take the biometric scans. You can again follow up on the MOI Website http://www.moi.gov.qa/ResPrint/Actions?action=getResVisaInput
After clearance from CID, the online status will request you to go to immigration office. Before you go there you have to take the blood group report, taken from any laboratory.
Finally! you will get the residence permit.
If there is any easir process, please let me know too.......... :)
