Wow….!!!
Will it sound scary….!!!
Hope it will not be….!!!

Hi, Charmed, thanks for the question....I will try to answer.

First of all, in Islam, Muslims must believe in transcendental concepts…like for example…Gannah (Paradise), Gahanam (Hell), Allah (God), Malaa’ekah (Angels) and finally Shaitan (devil who was one from Genies)

Genies were created by Allah before the creation of Adam, and they lived in earth of course…
As we know from Qu’ran and from Sunnah, they are creatures Allah creat them from smokeless flame of fire…in contrast to Adam who was created from mud.

After the creation of Adam, Allah thought him everything and made him more knowledgeable than his Angels.

Before that time, Genies were in earth fighting and killing as they are having power of free choice to believe in Allah or not.

Shaitan, was one from the religious believer Genie in Allah, for that reason Allah raised him to be with Angels.

After the creation of Adam, Allah raised him and his descendants over all the creatures.
Allah asked his angels and Shaitan to bow down to Adam as an order by Allah to them and a confession from them by the superiority of Adam over them as Allah will.

Shaitan, refused to bow down and argue with Allah, that he is better than Adam as Allah create him from flam and Adam from mud.

From that time, Allah execrated Shaitan and expelled him from Gannah (Paradise), then Shaitan asked Allah to let him to the end of life and not punish him that time, and argue with Allah that he can seduce Adam and his descendants and turned them to be disobedient as him.

As some know, then Allah asked Adam and Eve not to eat from the tree, and Shaitan came and seduced them to eat from it to be angels or immortals.

Then they ate from the tree and Allah, blamed them for disobeying his orders and followed Shaitan, from that time Adam and Eve went down to the earth and wild war has been started between them and Shaitan to seduce their descendants.

Sorry for lengthening the introduction, however it was a short history about Genie and the relation with Humans.

What after being on earth…

According to Sunnah and Qu’ran Genies are living with us. Although we could not see them, they could see us.

They are more powerful than humans; they can travel and transfer as quickly as light…

From Qu’ran in ages of Prophet Solomon, Allah gave him the power to control them and use them as slaves…
Allah says, about Prophet Solomon (Sulaiman in Arabic):
“[38][34] And We did try Sulaiman: We placed on his throne a body (without life): but he did turn (to Us in true devotion):
[38][35] He said: "O my Lord! forgive me, and grant me a Kingdom which, (it may be), suits not another after me: for Thou are the Grantor of Bounties (without measure).
[38][36] Then We subjected the Wind to his power, to flow gently to his order, whithersoever he willed,
[38][37] As also the evil ones (Genies), (including) every kind of builder and diver,
[38][38] As also others bound together in fetters. “

They marry and give birth in some way and eat as well.
They usually live in uninhabited places and forsaken areas.

Interaction between the two worlds (human and genies)

According to what we have from Qu’ran and Sunnah:
The interaction may be taken one of the following:
• Dealing with unbeliever Genies doing magic stuff which is highly forbidden in Islam and tends to “Kaffer” (the one who will commit this will be disbeliever or not a Muslim).
• Asking Allah to protect you from their devil or harm following the right way as Allah stated in Qu’ran and as Prophet Mohamed taught Muslims in Sunnah.

Why they could not kill us, or harm us:

Allah, give to each human two angels surround him to protect him from genie and other devil things unless it was a destiny created by Allah, then they left him.
These angels for all humans, not for Muslims only…

Those angels will leave you in the following situations:
• Bathrooms (for these reason Muslims has to say a specific supplication before going to bathrooms).
• When having intercourse with your wife (again there is a specific supplication before starting the business).

The supplications Muslims say before these activities are a little part of daily supplications should be said for various situations.

I promised to submit these supplications before, actually I am working on them as there many and the translation is very important.

Hope the Genies world becomes clearer, however if you have other questions, please ask them and I will try to answer or find the answer “inshaa Allah” (in Arabic mean God willing).

Regards,
