Dweller, I have lived all over the gulf at one time or another, and i say that if you see a dog, its an event! Look, a dog! a turn up for the books!
Now in Sydney, which I also know quite well, it is difficult to get away from the pervasive smell of dogcrap in the grass verges, and parks are no-go areas for children due to people using them as dog toilets.
I don't know how London is nowadays but you had to watch your step on the pavements over there. Nothing worse than stepping in a dogpile! You could never say that of any pavement in the Gulf...the Arab aversion to dogs on hygienic grounds is well known, and I wholeheartedly agree with them.
"When you believe in things that you don't understand, then you suffer...Superstition ain't the way, no no no..."
Stevie Wonder.
