Steve,

I concur with dentist's comment that first, you'll have to figure out where you end up living and find a nursery/school nearby as traffic in the morning (and early afternoon) can be horrible. There's quite a number of English speaking schools/nursery based on Western (British/Australian) curriulum. As soon as you arrive in Qatar, you should get a copy of Marhaba or Explore Doha/Qatar. You can find them in Carrefour, Jarir and major hotels (just about anywhere where many Western expats frequent). Both books have a very good section on the education section.

BTW, my son, who's only 7 months old, is at ElderTree nursery. I chose it because it's the closest one and I'm very happy with it. Their website is www.eldertreenursery.com but I didn't find it too helpful. If you have any more questions, feel free to email me at [email protected]. I know that this was a subject that I tried to research the most before moving to Qatar. Good luck.
