That is a question many people would like to have an answer to.However you can try the Gulf Times, hang up notices at supermarkets like Family Food & Mega Mart or via the grapevine. Then there is the other solution and go to one of the agencies and get a maid tru them. The difference is that when you get a maid thru an agency you do not know anything about them, not about them personally, their skills, nothing - which is a risk. But if you get a maid from here you can check them out. But they will also know the way of living here and they might be a lot more demanding...they might have friends they want to visit & have them visit her. They will also ask for more money. Remember if you have a housemaid under your sponsorship you are responsible for her, her behaviour, her actions. I just want to tell you, that I personally prefer a maid who is "fresh" into the country & who does not know anybody here so she wont get into trouble. Yes I will have to teach her what to do, but this will take 1 or 2 months and then she would know. But then I will have the peace of mind, which to me is worth a lot.
However the decision is yours but I just want to point out this fact and with which many of you are not accustomed.
