I'd like to drop to add some points on some of the topics raised:

Qatari Drivers:
The only way to avoid them, is staying away from the left lane. Don't bother resisting or competing with them, because as someone said before, Qatari police give a blind eye to Qatari drivers. I for example have been caught by the police in several felonies, to name a few, parking on the sidewalk, parking in a handicap spot, fully tinting my windows and I've hadn't had a single ticket! I know it's unfair and unjust, but this is how things work round here.

Truck Drivers:
Be Aware from those! These drivers are payed per trip, so the more trips they make to the construction area, the more they are paid.

Bus and company drivers:
Due to extended working hours, and very poor wages these drivers drive worst than boozed up teenage kids! they overtake without looking, brake for no reason, and drive like their butts are in fire! so watch out from these drivers, especially if you have your children with you.

To sum up, I know the driving situations are dreadful in Doha, but they'll be much much better in 2009, when all the street works deadlines are due.

If you disagree or would like to comment, plz feel free...
