1-you can get a 2 bed flat for 8000 (just!) but if you want a flat with facilites the price could be as high as 15,000. 1 bedroom appartements are extremely difficult to find. Your best bet is to look for a small two bed flat.
Finantial Centre...Never heard of that...is that Al Saad area? Find out where your offices will be located and then try to find accom as close as possible to your officies. It will save you hours of traffic.
2- To buy alcohol for home use you will have to get a license. It is an easy procedure and you will need a letter from your sponsor.
There are a few bars in doha and places to hang out. Although there isn't a wide choice of places to go.
3- Getting into a leisure club might be a little difficult. Most have long waiting lists.
4- Nowadays you can wear pretty much what you want. It has changed a lot, I remember two years ago it was so different! I advise you to go easy on the shorts when visiting malls, otherwise fine.
Dont' rely on taxis. Get a car.
