I would also recommend going on Emirates Airlines - their office is off of the Corniche, right next to the large HSBC Bank. They have flights that go from Doha-Dubai-NY, which are very reasonably priced. Then, you can get a flight from NY to wherever you want to go. You can price them out online http://www.emirates.com . Also, I have been pretty happy with Regency Travel. There are offices throughout the city.
