I have a much better idea now of what life in Qatar is like after reading this site. It gives me an opportunity to talk to Qataris like Bajesus, Aisha and QatarGirl who are intelligent and open to discussion about life here.
I do feel bad for them sometimes because we can be a little harsh on Qatari culture, but I think they understand that sometimes we speak out of frustration. Westerners and Middle Easterners are two very different people, with very different sets of values.
Actually I would like to thank Catherine for bringing up this thread, because I was wondering what would happen if I should find myself pregnant out of wedlock here.
