I agree that it would be nicer for foreigners to speak Arabic. However, I tried and failed, as I found it to be very difficult. I could never learn it enough to be able to deal with government officials. In a reciprocal move, I don't expect government officials to speak perfect English. They are not obliged to.
I do have a problem with native English speakers who laugh at various accents, while they in most cases couldn't put two words together in any language other than English.
