I think they do respect the culture MJ, that's not the problem. I think its just hard for couples who are from a more liberal country to adjust. Especially when they are used to sharing their affection.

My parents have been married 30 years and are very scared about holding hands in public here, which is something they did in Canada all the time. Sometimes they forget where they are.
