That is all true and correct... However, only in Muslim countries the perpetrators of such crimes can get away with it. Take Jordan, for example, where "Crimes of passion" i.e. killing a female family member who has "dishonoured" the family, are a whole separate section of the law, and the people who kill their women in these cases don't get punished. In Iran it's not a rare occurence: a woman will be killed if she dishonours her family in any way (even if she is raped), and she will also be killed if she kills her attacker in self defence. Islam does little to protect these women.
