Hewlett-Packard provides Consulting and Infrastructure Support to client all over the globe. Currently working as a Sr. System Engineer in the US clients. I am in a team of 25+ Engineers and we provide offshore infrastructure support to the clients to manage their datacenter Servers 24*7. Hewlett-Packard works following ITIL version 3 processes and I hold roles across various processes for all infrastructures Server related work.
Responsibilities:
è Performing routine datacenter activity: Task included Window remote administration using remote connectivity tools like terminal services and HP virtual room, checking all schedule jobs on all the servers and troubleshooting failed jobs, disk space analysis
è Resolving issues pertaining to datacenter administration: Issues faced by users in installing and configuring new hardware and software with performance tuning
è Troubleshooting no post, no boot and no video issues.
è Basic Network error handling.
è Patching and drivers and firmware update on windows, Linux and VMware.
