Qatar needs to catch up & start launching Pro Boxing. Olympic fights are nice, but those don't account into a boxer Professional career.

Qatar needs to establish a Pro Boxing Commission & launch big fights!
Yemen, Egypt & Turkey combined have over 700 professional fights! It cost them nothing, as these nations are not exactly wealthy.
They are usually free admission shows & Pro boxers are usually hard core fighters, who don't show up for money! (Local Pride fights)
Qatar can easily become a boxing Mecca, by simply starting a boxing commission. Opening up the rings for pro fighters, Qatar advantage will be the better infrastructure which will allow it have high caliber fights.
Mike Tyson, Naseem Hamed & Manny Pacquiao came the hard way out of the Pro ranks. Guys like Muhammad Ali, Oscar De La Hoya are also gold medalists, which helped them in the pros no doubt.
The idea is that, there is no reason why Qatar should not have a Professional Boxing commission, even Afghanistan is starting to have pro boxing!
Its not a pre-requisite to have Olympic medalists before having Pro Boxing, both Olympic & Pro boxing compliment each other. Some fighters styles are better for the pros others are better for amateurs. Having both in Qatar is just normal as in all nations in the world
