India's performance in South Africa

So how may of you agree that Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel and Tsotsobe for that matter, can be handled better on our subcontinent pitches? How many of you believe that the raw pace of Steyn can be countered with Zaheer Khan's medium pace? Apart from just a few Indian batsmen, most touted batters repeatedly fell like cards in the Castle Lager series. Lets discuss whats gonna be the fate of India in the World Cup barely 25 days away!
someone, it seems, has not seen Viv Richards (The King Richards) batting !!!!
Yusuf is NOT consistent and lacks technical soundness, however whenever he's ON, its awsome! but you have to wait 10 failed innings for an that awesome inning !
Jack kalis is a gay????
Yusuf Pathan...wow! This man is way stronger than any I've seen so far. He spews fire from his bat until he gets removed from the scene. He makes me wonder, how he manages to send the ball over the rope with such a low elevation! Most of the sixes he played in the last ODI were totally unbelievable. If he cud've held his nerve, 50runs were easily manageable. But adrenaline can't be controlled once it hits peak. He went for more and more hits and got out as a result. Dhoni rightly said winning this match out of Pathan's fireworks would have been "asking too much"!!
Jacques Kallis displayed awesome batting throughout. No wonder the South Africans consider him better than Tendulkar. He is tall and sturdy and has advantage on rising deliveries. Our answer to Kallis is VVS Laxman. Laxman scores ahead of Tendulkar. But over the years, Tendulkar has become complacent on the way he bats. Getting him out is not as tough as Laxman and Dravid. If Tendulkar has 50 tons to his name, he needs to win matches for India "single handedly". No im not asking too much!
Don't forget that playing pace bowling outside off stump is no easy task. The batsmen need perfect time to make contact and make good contact or else walk back after being grabbed in the slips and gully.
Watching Kohli, Pathan and Gambhir in SA was a big big delight. However i feel some matches we won were out of luck and chance. But the matches they won were very comprehensive and with big margin.
The Test at Centurion and 1st ODI are good examples.
It was a respected & well played/fought series with results of 3-2 in ODI & 1-1 in tests, so anyone claiming of Stayn. Morkels becoming danger to Indian side is a big joke, no-1. No-2, it’s not series between two teams but a ‘world cup’ and there will be plenty of Steyns & morkels from all teams.
Btw, will someone help me solve the puzzle, when I write a thread on Indian victory, no one comes to post but when Indian loses a match I see a trend, from a set of IDs off course, of many treads celebrating India’s loss. Does it really give such a pleasure, Quite a funny scene it seems?
It's not a bilateral series between India & South Africa.
South Africa will face other teams too.
He had the advantage of extra bounce at home which won't be there in India plus there are other teams in the tournament who handle bounce better than India.
Pathan plastered him in the last game and that was ona deck with good bounce. In the subcontinent on flat pitches, he is in for a long haul.
In fact i fail to understand whats that special in Tsotsobe. He manages to get rid of the likes of Tendulkar, VVS and other frontline batters.
One must not forget, Tsotsobe chips in with important wickets at crucial times. There is a huge discipline in his bowling line. I think he can't be taken lightly. Tsotsobe is comparable to our No.3 seamer but performs way superior. Both Nehra and Sreesanth were struggling to maintain line and lenght, not to mention the array of No-Balls they had bowled in the series!
Head says they will lose in the semifinals
Heart wants them to win ofcourse
Steyn & Morkel will be a handful wherever they play, Tsotsobe will get hammered in the subcontinent.
Remember Steyn's spell in Nagpur when he took 8 wickets in a day in a test match, he is a great bowler no matter where he bowls.
