Am not sure if this information has already become known, but a little birdie says that the tickets for the Brazil vs England match will go on sale on Wednesday (October 21).

It can be bought from http://en.qfa.com.qa/topics/index.asp?level=1&temp_id=1&temp_type=44 or can be had from one of five shopping malls where kiosks will be opened. The five outlets are the City Centre, Landmark, Villaggio Mall, Souk Wakif and The Mall.

The ticket charges range from QR100 to QR 750. See you all at the stadium.

If all you got was an order number it seems as though you have to pick them up in person from the box office. I ordered mine to be picked up from box office and thats all I got. Peeps who opted to print did get the option to print from the e-mail.

Observer what a load of rubbish you talk when saying Qatar is one of the most organised countries...that is a huge joke....as Expat09 said the only reason the Asian games were run well was cos the Olympic Committee was doing it, leave it to Qataris and they will stuff it up big time...and the fact is the asian Games in Doha was the least attended, so I guess the fans speak with their feet. And as for the joke that is Qatar World Cup bid their isn't a snow balls chance in hell of Qatar getting an event of this prestige....

QFA - the tickets bought online have unique barcodes and so cannot be copied. If someone tries to use the same ticket twice then it will not work. "If any copies of your voucher are made, entrance will be allowed only to the holder who scanned his ticket first through the venue's turnstile" - so just make sure you keep them in a safe place!

Observer re: your post, you said Qatar is one of the most organised countries in the middle east? haha! what a joke. This ticket sale has been a total farce. People have been given either no information or the wrong information for 5 days & wasting valuable time. Women and children stood around for hours.. and you wonder why people had no patience?

Today when tickets finally went on sale (at the wrong time!) over 400 people were queuing at each of the ticket stalls because there was so few resources. In Citycentre there was just 1 lady working on 1aptop. Some people queued for 6hours! And don't get me started on the internet. It had sold out in certain blocks today and now has them available again.

And you say the Asian Olympics was well organised.. that's because you had the Olympic Committee organising it. Qatar has a long long way to go if it wants to catch up with the efficieny of other middle eastern countries. And hiding behind Inshallah will get you nowhere.

@ me and you, Ines_pt and Alumnar:

guys u were so impatient about the tickets! All what u needed is patience! Now all the tickets are on sale and u can even buy from the internet! Qatar is one of the most organized countries in the middle east and when the world cup come they sure will have every thing clear like what happened in Asian Olympics when the world spoke about how good Qatar was in organizing everything!

The word "Inshallah" is misused here I agree with u on that but it means( god's willing) so u shouldn't say it’s a crap word just because people miss use it!

guys its just a game! u just needed some patience instead of visitng malls again and agian!

On internet you can choose your seat and payment by creditcard, print the vouchers and done. On the malls (villaggio, entrance n.3, the one from Zara) cash only, maximum 10 tickets/person. Good luck you all, hurry up, see you at the match!

Still no tickets?

Turned up to Villaggio at 930am to find the Tennis Booth that was supposed to be turned into the Football Booth, was completely GONE! I know a friend who worked the Villaggio Tennis booth and she said they had no clue whats going on with football tickets and that people had been asking them about them for weeks on end.

I did hear from another expat at my compound that they did go on sale this evening. Is that true?? Has anyone managed to find any?

Yep. No tickets. I agree with all the frustrated fans above.

I went to Villagio according to my own post, and got the same response; tickets are coming, coming. . . . coming

Also a friend was at The Mall on Sat and they had a football ticket stand with a sign "Tickets for sale 24/10/09" SATURDAY!!! Guess what. No one was attending the stand, and I believe it's the same today.

Anyway there is a group of us pinging the malls every few hours, but don’t hold your breath.

Did you know, I used to live in a flat right next door to Ronaldo, before I woke up in Doha, but what has that got to do with tickets!!!

Went to Villagio at 9am sharp, and the security said "madam come back at 11am". At 11am, nothing happende.. So have to wait. From the websiote, it was stated that the AlJazeera TV is the sponsor or some kind of organiser for the game. The FA Qatar is only the coordinator and has such it may have no clue on the sale of the tickets.. Again is it sad that an Inetrnationally procalimed TV station cant communicate with the public on its biggest evnet...what a disappointment..

it is very expensive to pay such big amount 750 QR for 90 minutes watching a football match.

i agree that both teams are very important and have stars playing the football.

However, i can say that not all people can afford to pay such amount although many people can do that.

sometimes, i think that such activities aim at stealing money from others, a kind of corruption.

there are a lot of things that we do not need in our life but because man is greedy, they want everthing.

Tickets on sale 9am Sunday morning at the stand in front of Starbucks in Villagio. Presently they are selling tennis tickets there, which will be taken down Sat night and replaced with a football ticket stand.

There are also tennis stands at the other malls mentioned, so lets hope they change those ones over too. As of midday today, the management of the other two malls have no information.
