The Bright Uniform - Beauty or the Beast?
Well the city/country has definitely been living in the spirit of the games for the last year or two, and it's most evident recently in the number of uniforms u see all around.. u know the ones am talking about, bright multi-colored jackets and orangey sweatpants!
So let's hear it,, u think it was a great design to add to the success of the games hosting so far.. or was it a fashion massacre and thank god it's ending soon ??
Personally I like it and would love to get my hands, if at least on the pants! Any ideas on if they're distributable to non-volunteers? anyways to gain access to them ?
Although the Games have concluded over a couple months ago, would just like to inform you that those pants and volunteer uniforms are actually available for sale now at the City Center Asian Games souvenir shop on the 2nd floor.
i like them we are trying to see if you can get hold of them on ebay....time will tell
i think those uniforms are possibly the ugliest olympic voluneteer uniforms in the history of the olympics
My son was a volunteer and had various items stolen so maybe there is a black market for this stuff
Those uniforms remind me of the state park rangers and their reflective vest and
The Mardi Grass custom parade.

from what I understand like any other event, they spent tons of money on the full branding of the games. i think almost everything turned out really well, except for some of the wierd slogans near the airport, something like "dreams of tomorrow come true today". what the heck does that mean.
i think if they sell the asian games attire afterwards, they'd make a good amount from it.
I assumed from your comment "Well the city/country has definitely been living in the spirit of the games for the last year or two" that you had been here longer
I liked them at first. However after seeing them worn so much and not properly fitted, I am burned out. The rule should have been make them one size larger for everyone for a little breathing room. Ohh how I enjoy seeing middle aged men praying in too tight sweat suits :-)Disclaimer: (This is a joke)
Act your age not your shoe size
Agree with the butterfly ... i love their colourfull uniform.
I love the colours!
heh heh , true!!
I've only been here since May'06 so didn't get as involved as I would have liked to.
Plus my work demands erratic hours as am on call for support at any time, and I travel back and forth to UAE quite a bit...
So not sure I would have been the model volunteer here :P
You could always have volunteered
