Basketball courts anywhere?

Coming from the states and with kids that LOVE playing basketball...I've been on the search looking for an outdoor basketball court...Is there any? I want a public free one not one that I have to be a member to play..Crazy how there are parks such as the one across from Villagio and no basketball courts there...or did I miss it?

Unfortunately there are not much facilities for basketball here in Doha which are decent enough and comes for free. In this scenario our Filipino group have made arrangements with a local boy's school for us to get to play in their school's outdoor courts in the evenings 6-9pm. For a meager amount of 10QR contribution per person you can get to play weekly.

Call me if you have time to play tonight at 6pm and I'll introduce you to our group.Tonight is our first game as groups. The place is in Bin Mahmoud, near Al Sadd and Ramada Hotel.Call me if you are interested.

I dont think you will find many free basketball courts in Qatar. Check with the guys playing in the paid courts who will be able to help you.
